The 2011 NFL season, the 92nd regular season of the National Football League, is scheduled to begin on Thursday, September 8, 2011 with the New Orleans Saints traveling to Lambeau Field, the home of the Super Bowl XLV champion Green Bay Packers; and end with Super Bowl XLVI, the league's championship game, on February 5, 2012 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Due to a labor dispute between league owners and players, a lockout began on March 11 and ended on July 25, lasting 18 weeks and 4 days. |

The 2011–12 NHL season will be the 95th season of operation (94th season of play) of the National Hockey League (NHL). It will be the fifth consecutive season that opens in Europe with NHL Premiere games. As with the previous season, three events are scheduled: two games will be held in Stockholm, Sweden; one game in Helsinki, Finland; and one game in Berlin, Germany. The season is scheduled to start on October 6, 2011 with the final regular season game on April 7, 2012. The 59th All-Star Game will be held at Scotiabank Place in Ottawa, Ontario, the home arena of the Ottawa Senators, on January 29, 2012. Prior to the beginning of the season, the Atlanta Thrashers relocated to Winnipeg. |

The 2011 Major League Baseball season began on Thursday, March 31, and will run through Wednesday, September 28.[1] This marked the first time a season began on a Thursday since 1976. The 82nd edition of the Major League Baseball All-Star Game was played at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona, on July 12 with the National League defeating the American League for the second straight year, by a score of 5-1. As has been the case since 2003, the league winning that game has home field advantage in the World Series. Accordingly, the 2011 World Series will begin in the National League city on October 19, and end no later than October 28. |

The 2011 CFL season will be the 58th season of modern Canadian professional football. Officially, it is the 54th season of the league. Vancouver is scheduled to host the 99th Grey Cup on November 27. The complete schedule was released on February 18, which features the defending Grey Cup champion Montreal Alouettes opening the season against the visiting BC Lions on Thursday, June 30, 2011. The CFL will return to Moncton for the second installment of the Touchdown Atlantic series. The Hamilton Tiger-Cats will be the home team, while the Calgary Stampeders are the visitors with the game scheduled to take place on Sunday, September 25. |
